Every session is designed so you can show up exactly as you are and leave feeling lighter.

Drop In, Any Time

Come every week, or once every few months — completely up to you. There's no term to commit to and no course to finish. Just book a session whenever it fits your life.

A Safe, Supportive Space

Whether it's your very first time or you've been doing improv for years, you'll find your place here. Everyone's welcome, and the vibe is warm, relaxed, and encouraging.

Complements Your Training

Already taking classes at another school or theatre? Great. These sessions are designed to sit alongside any style of improv training, giving you extra reps and fresh perspectives.

Pay What You Feel

Choose what feels right for you. We suggest $25, but you pick your price from $15–$35. We want these sessions to be genuinely accessible to everyone.

All Levels Welcome

Complete beginner? Seasoned improviser? It doesn't matter. Sessions are structured so everyone gets something out of it, and you'll never feel out of your depth.

Fun First, Always

We start with warm-ups to get everyone loose, move into scene work and exercises, and finish by sharing takeaways. Each session has a different focus, so it stays fresh.

FAQ

Questions? We've got you.

Do I need any improv experience?
Not at all. Breakfast Club is designed for all levels, from absolute beginners to experienced improvisers. Every session is structured so you can jump in comfortably, wherever you are in your journey.
What happens in a typical session?
Sessions usually run for about 2.5 hours. We start with warm-ups to get everyone comfortable, move into exercises and scene work, and wrap up with sharing takeaways. Each session has a different focus, so it stays fresh even if you come every week.
How does pay-what-you-feel pricing work?
When you book, you'll see a suggested price of $25 per session, but you choose what to pay. We offer a range from $15 to $35 because we want these sessions to be genuinely accessible. Pick what feels right for you.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are held at Kathleen Syme Library in Carlton, Melbourne. Exact room details are shown when you book. After payment, you'll get a calendar invite with the full address and details.
I'm already taking classes elsewhere. Is this a good fit?
Absolutely. A lot of people who come to Breakfast Club are also doing classes at other schools and theatres. These sessions are designed to complement any style of improv training. The skills and philosophy here — following your instincts, having fun, making things active — are beneficial regardless of the approach you're learning elsewhere. Think of it as extra reps in a supportive environment.
Do I have to come every week?
Not at all. That's the whole point of a drop-in! Some people come every Saturday, some pop in once a month, and some come back after a six-month gap. There's no commitment — just book whenever it works for you.
Can I book multiple sessions at once?
Yes! You can select as many upcoming sessions as you like and pay for them all in one go. It's a great way to commit to regular practice and save yourself repeat bookings.
